The Shed 63, October–November 2015

In The Shed 63 we have some fun with a farmer commuting to work via a flying fox and make a stylish wrought iron gate. We showcase the skills of leadlight creation with Myke Bakker of Sauvarins in Penrose, Auckland. Gary Sarten of Taranaki whose passion for push bikes has driven him to help kids get their own wheels plus we have a project where we solve the problem of how to bend sheet metal in your home workshop, by making an effective sheet metal folder. Some west coast Aucklanders share their love of casting bronze and Stu Lees builds a wooden water wheel that will brighten every garden in our Stu's shed column. In part two in a series of the basics of electronics, we explain inductors and then profile some products that will help keep those shed tools sharp!
