The Shed 49, June–July 2013

In Shed 49 Jude walks us through all you need to know to installing a kitchen, from initial plans to finished, in-situ result. Ray Cleaver meets Colin Evans who gets more power out of his ride on mower by adding twin carbs and more and Bob Browning builds us a sawhorse extension. Jude gets testing some tools this issue, some 18V 4.0 Brushless Impact Drivers and Rick Proctor also yearns more power, for him though, it's fitting a V8 car engine to a log splitter! We explore the hot rod builds at Normanby Custom Fabrications in Taranaki before heading to Rotorua to meet the locals building their own coffins at the Kiwi Coffin Club. Our project we share with you this issue we marvel at a Toylander model Landrover with a programmable engine noise then John Burrows shows us how to make a simple vacuum former to form items in plastic for your models. We get some jewellery making guidance from Peter Minturn on how to make a simple Tiffany ring before we begin with Part I of our three-part series on Raspberry 101 - installing your Raspberry Pi. More electronics for you when we review Freescale KL25z and introduce you to PiFace. Finally, in an Arduino project, we get building a glue gun you can draw with for use in crafts and more.
