New Zealand Classic Car 392, March/April 2024

In this issue 392 we have a celebration of 60 years of the Ford Mustang and a good chunk of summer classic car racing.
We profile Rodger Cunninghame and his 50 years of racing, lately in a Paul Fahey replica Shelby Mustang. We celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Ford Mustang and look back at Erich Zakowski legacy and his legendary Zakspeed motorsport operation.
We feature a desirable BMW classic, the 635CSi, visit the Auto Haven classic car museum in Christchurch and enjoy Kirsti and Dean Somerville’s 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria coupé. We stumble upon a cute-as 1968 Divco delivery truck and profile a great and largely unknown Kiwi pioneer photographer of the 50s and 60s, Gladys Goodall.
Jonathan Paape tells the tale of his father’s 1934 Frazer Nash TT Replica, we are smitten by some Berkeley Sports Cars micro-cars in Cromwell and in Kits and Pieces, we tell the story of the Kiwi made Cheetah.
Donn Anderson remembers recently passed racing legend Dennis Marwood and recalls a 2008 visit to have lunch with the Duke of Richmond. We have a new feature called ShowStoppers and this instalment features an Escort Twin Cam.
Motorsport Flashback is on Peter Revson and in the Marketplace report we check out the Toyota Century and behind the garage door we find Mary Robertson restoring a 1967 Mustang.
