New Zealand Classic Car 372, December 2021

The 1970 VG Valiant recalls the glory days of Aussie car production when there were three strong local carmakers, and Chrysler was about to pull the ace out of its sleeve with the all Aussie VH, although the VG Hardtop may still appeal to more. We’ve also got a super stylish Buick Invicta, the GM Empire striking back after we featured Chrysler's cheeky space-age trendsetter the Plymouth Savoy, last month’s cover car. Rounding out a varied month is a homebuilt Morgan Plus 8, Renault’s mould-breaking Avantime, a ‘Ghostbuster’ Cadillac hearse and the other pony car, a rare 1982 Hyundai Pony 1200 TLS.
