The Shed 50, August–September 2013

 In this the 50th edition of The Shed, Rod Kane gets to constructing an easy to build and dismantle Playhouse, with tower and slide, out of plywood. Bob Browning shows us how to make a wooden block to store chisels and Hugh McCarroll explains how to easily fit double glazed windows yourself.. We meet Invercargill gunsmith Nelson Collie and we show you when, where and why you must use treated timber in an all you need to know.. Our wood project this issue is recycling pallet wood to create useful furniture and we enjoy the 78-year-old Auckland steam tug, the William C Daldy. In My Shed this issue we visit Sky TV presenter Dennis Katsanos who is a real DIY sheddie and David Blackwell visits the great treasure trove of wood lathes housed in the Lynn Woodwork Museum in Ashburton.
