Not many people have the guts to hack up a near-new Corvette and turn it into one of the wildest draft cars on the planet, but young Aucklander Blair gribble-Bowring did, and before the car was put into battle, we managed to get it in front of the lens. The wild machine makes use of countless custom parts including custom extreme wide body kit and billet suspension arms. Equally custom is the outlaw machine put together by Nascar legend Ray Evernham, which was recently on kiwi soil to hit Rod Millen’s driveway. In this issue we also check out a scratch-built ‘32 Roadster, a Pro-charged big block El Camino, LS-powered HQ Holden and a tough ‘67 Galaxie. We also hitched a lift to Barrett Jackson to follow the process of selling a vehicle there, check out how lace painting is performed and catch up with Eric Livingstone to celebrate 30 years of West Auckland Engine Reconditioners.
