NZV8 196, September 2021

This month we’re on the go slow with our cover car, a beautiful detailed ‘57 Ford Fairlane mild custom, which has been a 13 labour of love for owner Martin Phillips. We jump the Pacific to check out the street going version of Dom Toretto's latest ‘68 Charger, a full carbon bodied and mid-engined Hemi powered monster. Back here in New Zealand we showcase a wide bodied Mustang dubbed the BRAT, and keep things simple with a super clean ‘77 Chev C10.  Murph sits down with Aaron to talk about all things Supercars past, present and future, and we head to llama Engineering in Wellington for their shop opening. Event wise we have the biggest South Island horsepower party there is - Chrome Expression Session, and head to central Waikato for the Mangakino Lake Hop on the banks of Lake Maraetai. Getting ready for the coming show season? You won’t want to miss our tips on how to show your car - we talk to those with cabinets full of hardware to prove it. All this and a ton more inside the September issue of NZV8.
