NZ Performance Car 281, May 2020

As a teenager growing up in DriftCorp country Brad Wright was privy to some serious street antics as the emerging sport took hold here in New Zealand. It just so happened that some of his first tastes of popping a clutch and hearing a turbo spool was in the passenger seat of the very 1988 Mazda RX-7 we are featuring on the cover this month. Brad took ownership over three years ago and crafted it into one seriously wild FC. We also checkout a bagged and bodied Ford Courier dripping in custom one-off parts, a 550kW Nissan R34 GT-R, a supercharged Toyota AE86, and we delve into Nitromethane with none other than Brent Curran of CBR and his 8 second NA quad rotor. Event wise we head south to Chrome CHCH, and then further south for the inaugural Ben Nevis Hill Climb.  All this and plenty more in NZ Performance Car 281
